A hypervisor is software that makes virtual machines possible. It abstracts guest machines and the operating system they run on from the actual hardware. There are 2 types of Hypervisors.
Type 1 Hypervisor, also called bare metal or native is a layer of software we install directly on top of a physical server and its underlying hardware.
Type 1 Vendors.
Type 2 Hypervisor, Also known as hosted hypervisors run on a host operating system that provides virtualization services, such as I/O device support and memory management.
Type 2 Vendors.
